Further, we test 100% of any new suppliers or farmers that we bring on for 1 full calendar year. This helps guarantee safety and consistency with any new sources.

Furthermore -

Happy Hippo performs annual WADA (World Anti Doping Agency) test to ensure there are no illegal drugs or illicit compounds in our product.

We also perform pesticide testing to make sure our product is clear of pesticides and herbicides.

While we aren't the biggest store, we have a full office, warehouse and more recently - a packaging (manufacturing) laboratory accredited by the American Kratom Association.

Happy Hippo has a staff of family and friends that has combined 20+ years of experience of using Kratom, trying countless different Indonesian farmers and vigorous pathogen sterilization and independent lab testing.

We vet our farmers and suppliers.
We test our products - both via personal use and lab analytics.
Our Kratom tips are based on experience.

Good Manufacturing Practices? (AKA GMP-Certified)

Why is Happy Hippo More Expensive Than [Insert Cheap Vendor]?

1) Happy Hippo Doesn't Import Kratom
(and Pays a lot More for It!)

This might come as a surprise.

Although nearly all of our Kratom comes from Indonesia, Happy Hippo doesn't actually import it.

A 3rd party in the United States imports our Kratom for us.

They test the Kratom at an independent lab in Michigan for pathogens (namely: Salmonella) and sterilize it before it is shipped to us for our 3rd party testing.

They send us the lab results on EVERY batch we receive.

This process is MUCH more expensive and time-consuming than simply importing Kratom and recklessly throwing it into a bag.

It's worth it though.

Happy Hippo has not had problems with pathogens or other unhealthy compounds that are notoriously found in cheap Kratom products.

Even though our Kratom is 'pre-tested' and sterilized, we re-test a substantial amount in order to confirm the initial lab results.

2) Happy Hippo is Certified by the American Kratom Association as 'GMP-Compliant'

This too was a long, arduous process.

We dedicated well over 9 months and $100,000 to becoming compliant to satisfy the American Kratom Association's requirements for GMP-compliance.

There is a chain of custody for EVERY SINGLE bag that leaves our facility.

This process involved building our own laboratory and manufacturing packaging facility to replace our previous clean room. 3) Happy Hippo Only Sources High-Quality, Alkaloid-Balanced Kratom From Mature Trees

Aside from the independent testing (and re-testing), sterilization and new AKA-compliant facility — much of our costs are wrapped up in our physical product.

We offer high-quality Kratom because we purchase high-quality Kratom.

The Kratom we purchase is from a smaller farm (not a huge industrial field) that only harvests mature Kratom trees.

Cheap Kratom is almost always from young, immature plants.

Before you even use our Kratom, you will notice it's a nice, fluffy powdered-sugar consistency -- not the grainy yucky Kratom that is mostly available elsewhere.

Every position at Happy Hippo receives anywhere from 30-50% higher compensation than the national average.

For example, the minimum wage in Idaho is $7.25/hr but NO HAPPY HIPPO EMPLOYEE makes less than $16.00/hr.

I have tried alot of other vendors online and always come back to Happy Hippo, awesome product, fresh, great quality, safe/tested, fast shipping and after the 3 years I have been buying Kratom from you guys and really thinking back in disbelief you have never got my order wrong once.

Well, I wasn’t able to get this posted BEFORE Friday, but since Friday isn’t technically over, I’m hoping that my post can still be taken into consideration. If not, I’m still more than happy to let the world know why Happy Hippo Herbals is the one, and only, Kratom vendor that I will continue to use. There are SO many reasons that I would refer ALL of my family members and friends to Happy Hippo Herbals, but I’ve narrowed it down to the 3 most important reasons for my, personally. That is service, trust and quality. My thoughts on this are described below (I have a LOT of thoughts about it): :)

1. serv·ice: noun: 1. the action of helping or doing work for someone; synonyms: act of assistance, good turn, favor, kindness, helping hand; verb: 1. perform routine maintenance or repair work on; synonyms: overhaul, check, check over, go over, maintain, keep in good condition; etc.

When it comes to the above definitions of service, Happy Hippo Herbals is the one and only vendor that I’ve ever come across that consistently exceeds the definitions of service. The team is small, but don’t let that fool you into thinking that you won’t get fast service. The group of people running this show are ON THE BALL! After placing an order (and my orders are always pretty substantial, since I try to order for the entire month or more each time I order), I have my product in-hand within 5-7 days. They will ship the product out the SAME DAY sometimes, unless it’s just not possible. Compared to other vendors, who are on a much larger scale (think Kraken), that I’ve ordered from, Happy Hippo Herbals delivers as fast as, or FASTER, than any of them! This is because the team is ALL about SERVICE. No question, hands down, they are the best service you will find in the business.

2. trust: noun: 1. firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.
“relations have to be built on trust” · synonyms: confidence · belief · faith · freedom from suspicion/doubt · sureness. verb: 1. believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of.

I considered listing this part under great customer service, also, but I feel a little stronger about this definition and it’s meaning when it comes to choosing a vendor. Trust is by far, the most important factor for me. A vendor could have great service and high quality product, but you have to be able to TRUST them fully, meaning that if something goes wrong, you have no doubt in your mind that the vendor will step-up to make it right. Happy Hippo Herbals is 100% trustworthy and will go out of their way to make sure every customer feels secure with every transaction. In all of the time I’ve purchased from Happy Hippo, I’ve only had 1 order that wasn’t perfect. Somehow, one strand of kratom was misplaced with another strand. I sent an email (and they also reply via text message) to them and I heard straight back that same day. Without question, they replaced the correct strand and shipped it out that same day. They were kind and focused on finding a solution so that the same thing never happened again. They didn’t ask me to send back the other strand, which I would have gladly done, and were incredibly understanding. Since then I’ve never had another problem but I trust that if it ever does happen again, I won’t have to worry about having problems getting the order fixed quickly and with kindness. Additionally, you can TRUST that Happy Hippo Herbals is never going to jack their prices up on customers, even though they offer the highest quality products! the kratom through Happy Hippo is priced VERY reasonably, especially given their high standards for quality and the VERY hard work they put into finding only the very best product! Trust me when I tell you (because I’ve actually tried it), if you find lower prices offered through another vendor, it’s because the quality is NO where near as good as you will get with Happy Hippo Herbals. Would you rather save a couple of bucks or would you rather have the best possible product available? I know what I choose!

They is more to the quality of a vendor than just the excellence of a product. I’ve gone through other vendors for kratom, and there is NO question that Happy Hippo Herbals has the HIGHEST standards for quality kratom. Their products are the definition of excellence, every single time and they continue to get better because Happy Hippo really CARES about the quality of the product. They not only put their products through rigorous tests to ensure quality, but they are constantly striving to provide new strains by exploring and learning more about kratom every day. That leads me to the other part of what makes up true quality; Happy Hippo Herbal wants their customers to have access to ALL of the knowledge that they have obtained, about kratom and any other products they sell. It’s important to them that customers know exactly what they are getting and also know the history of the products, links for other resources related to the products and their many uses. There is an ENDLESS supply of information available to customers on the Happy Hippo Herbals website and they actually try to prompt customers to takes the time to read up on everything. NO other vendor that I’ve gone through has provided anything that’s even comparable to Happy Hippo Herbals dedication to educating customers.

So in summary, I just have to say THANK YOU Happy Hippo Herbals!!! Your hard work and dedication to your customers absolutely SHINES through and I’m SO happy to be able to count on the highest-quality products and great customer service from a vendor that I can trust!!

Happy Hippo was my first ever Kratom vendor purchase based off random recommendations I read online from Google searches and Reddit forums. Since that fateful day (approximatley 3 years ago) I have tried several vendors while still placing several orders with Happy Hippo. Time and time again, I keep ordering from HH and forgetting these other vendors. Looks like I made the right decision on the first try and can confirm through the years that the first option is and always will be the best option. I (heart) HH!!

Happy Hippo is by far the best place to buy Kratom anywhere. It’s not even close! I have purchased K from many other vendors, including websites, head shops, and even gas stations. Happy Hippo’s product is second to none! Not only is the quality great, but after personally dealing with the customer service I can tell you it is top notch as well. Something that is hard to come by these days. Perhaps one of my favorite things is the way they classify all of their product based upon the projected “speed” of the leaf. This is extremely helpful for the beginner and the seasoned connoisseur as well. Lastly, this is a company that understands the product and educates their customers. I know I am always going to get a quality, safe, and reliable product from Happy Hippo. Try it yourself! You won’t be disappointed.

I love everything about Happy Hippo. I have had a few questions since buying from the site and always get a response very quickly. Usually the same day. When I go on the site to select what kratom I will endulge in I feel like a kid in a candy store bc there are so many GREAT options. I have tried every strain they offer and have never been disappointed. It tastes very clean unlike small local store sell and the best is they send a free sample with every order. I always get excited to see what I get. Keep up the great work bc you all are one of a kind.
